What A (Not So Little) Birdie Told me

What A (Not So Little) Birdie Told me

My Cup Runs Over | News Letter Journal

teetering and swinging from the gallows pole
amongst fluttering tales of both shiny new and unglazed old
lost and found, tarnished pieces of silver and gold
in a tempestuous trilogy of testimony
i was lame yet i danced a hurdy gurdy
my faith like seasons and arguably unsturdy
i drank from your overflowing fountain
ate 'til more than full from your three-legged table
now i no longer hunger and thirst
that is both a last and a first
as told but by a not so little birdie
