Where The Tide Is Always High

Where The Tide Is Always High

A Poem by Pete

A Pair of Lovers (Eglogue en Provence) | Modern ...
Arles, Two Lovers
by Vincent Van Gogh 1888

on the nexus of destiny
thirsting for meaning
drinking from the calix of chance
their longing lips met on the loose, sandy shore of want
pellucid hearts aquiver
grasping the reigns of kismet
indulging in the ambrosia of each other's dulcet essence
the impressionistic lyrics of their ariose love aphonic

a perpetual high tide
rewriting the future
mixing passion's deepest pigments
creating motley, new hues
splashing raised paint on the placoid canvas of life
attuned to the phonics of sighs
adding meaning to existence and dimensions to time
rapturing their souls whilst lengthening eternity
