Oh That Song

Oh That Song

A Poem by Pete

Some songs are never just ordinary songs, they become the memories you collect in your life. - Seekerohan

i do not wish to take the lords name in vain
but some songs just jam
so that all you can think to say is, "god damn"
as it rocks your soul and lifts your blue spirit with a southern gothic crane
smoothing rough edges and pounding your brain
it's the only way to get the most
as you're tied to a melodic, whipping post
buttering your dry toast
out of this world like the father, son and holy ghost
think i'll play it for eternity
cutting through life's shame
if it's all the same
