'Snowrise' And 'Sunfall'

'Snowrise' And 'Sunfall'

A Poem by Pete
"

A healthy man, indeed, is the complement of the seasons, and in winter, summer is in his heart. - Thoreau

"
river in the snow with the sun shining ...

imparting heavenly quiescence
as god limbered up his ample fingers
the night's snow fell with a divine prescience
imparting the river with a strange effervescence

a new day coming of age in a strange sort of eternal, glandular pubescence
sun radiating the gift of loving incandescence
heavenly quintessence
the devil walked away, head bowed in silent acquiescence

Author's Note

Pete
"I love to wade and flounder through the swamp now, these bitter cold days when the snow lies deep on the ground, and I need travel but little way from the town to get to a Nova Zembla solitude,—to wade through the swamps, all snowed up, untracked by man, into which the fine dry snow is still drifting till it is even with the tops of the water andromeda and halfway up the high blueberry bushes." - Thoreau

The wording in this apiece is exceptional and the wintery scenery is beautiful even though it makes me cold.

I’m trying to, wish winter was over already
A fall of snow can certainly make the scenery heavenly. And then if the sun shines on it, even more so. Lovely poetry Pete and your posted image quite breath taking.
