When I lived in south Florida and went to the beach, sometimes the sand was so hot, and wide if you didn't wear some foot protection it was quite terrifying... especially if you were carrying an afternoon's worth of supplies and fishing equipment...

The ocean is a graveyard to many a shipwreck and a multitude of drowned lives. Sad, thoughtful and layered.
