"

Always there is life which, rightly lived, implies a divine satisfaction. - Thoreau

The Desperate Dependence of Prayer ...

i cried out for help
no one came
what a shame

wouldn't 'ya just know
said they couldn't come because they were waiting for packages from amazon
busy counting snowflakes from last night's snow
staring at their phones to see how low the temperature would go
what a shame
at least they texted though

"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation. From the desperate city you go into the desperate country, and have to console yourself with the bravery of minks and muskrats." - Thoreau
