When The Walls Come Tumblin' Down

When The Walls Come Tumblin' Down

A Poem by Pete
"

Routine is a ground to stand on, a wall to retreat to; we cannot draw on our boots without bracing ourselves against it. - Thoreau

"
And The Walls Come Tumbling Down | If I ...

the walls came tumblin' down
i needed a bulldozer
all i had was a tarnished spoon
maybe in the next life,
i'll sell tickets to a sand dune
either that
or rebuild with green cheese on the moon

Author's Note

Pete
"Ancient history has an air of antiquity. It should be more modern. It is written as if the specator should be thinking of the backside of the picture on the wall, or as if the author expected that the dead would be his readers, and wished to detail to them their own experience." - Thoreau
