No High Five Jive

No High Five Jive

A Poem by Re-Pete
"

Men profess to be lovers of music, but for the most part they give no evidence in their opinions and lives that they have heard it - Thoreau

Machine Gun (Jimi Hendrix song) - Wikipedia

i often think
if everyone carried jimi's kind of machine gun
there'd be less violence in this messed up world

they don't take no bullets
don't kill no lives
only liftin' spirits,
talkin' no jive
smackin' higher than high fives

"Music is the sound of the universal laws promulgated. It is the only assured tone. There are in it such strains as far surpass any man's faith in the loftiness of his destiny. Things are to be learned which it will be worth the while to learn." - Thoreau
