Poetry is nothing but healthy speech. - Thoreauwhen tears are boo-hooed what spills when emotions are tipped what staggers when spirits are sipped what's kept in taped boxes that never get shipped what howls when indelible winds blow what walks alone, with no footprints, in frigid snow that which rises to the surface when empty rivers begin to flow it's what throws hope when the light's unscrewed what's sipped naked when coffee's not brewed what drips on the counter when there's not enough for rent what's still owed when lonely heart's are lent what's been stuck and unfree in the darkest vent kept and rarely spent never what's communicated always what's meant © 2025 Re-PeteAuthor's Note
