Don't Slip On The Peel

Don't Slip On The Peel

A Poem by Re-Pete
"

The head monkey at Paris puts on a traveler's cap, and all the monkeys in America do the same. - Thoreau

"
Monkey wearing a banana costume on Craiyon

on my best behavior
in my finest silk suit
i'm still a hairy monkey
searching for a banana
wearing a bandana
in need of a saviour

what's all the fuss?
i'm just trying to walk erect and board a magic bus
as i pound my chest and scratch my armpits
trying hard not to cuss
living and surviving thus
