Adios Amigo And Ciao Bella

Adios Amigo And Ciao Bella

A Poem by Pete
"

I live in the present. I only remember the past, and anticipate the future. - Thoreau

"
Past, Present, and Future | More than ...

i reluctantly bend down
to pick up the broken pieces of yesterday
to sweep away the puddles of tears
to sew tomorrow's moth-eaten, wedding gown
to turn dark blues into light brown

i've no glue
no broom
no needle or thread
no brush
all i have is some daily bread
and what's left of the gray matter inside my head
along with a mouth with which to turn a frown upside down

Any mouth which can turn a frown into a smile shows much strength and resilience. Not sure I would respond in the same way:) ok damn, I know I wouldn’t respond in that way;) Nice little poem, which points in the right direction.
