River That Doesn't Deliver

River That Doesn't Deliver

A Poem by Re-Pete
"

"
The Trash-Collecting San Pedro River ...

a dirty river runs by here
right through me
there's an old, broken, glass table and mattress box spring in it
don't get me started on what's in the water
even deformed fish need fodder

Re-Pete
“Why should we live with such hurry and waste of life? We are determined to be starved before we are hungry. Men say that a stitch in time saves nine, and so they take a thousand stitches today to save nine tomorrow.” - Thoreau
