Fleeting

Fleeting

A Poem by Re-Pete
"

The poet who walks by moonlight is conscious of a tide in his thought which is to be referred to lunar influence. - Thoreau

"
starry night sky The colors are vibrant ...

with torn walking papers and comfortable shoes
night sky burning in radiant hues
stars shining like a sparkle of fireflies
as bashful bongos beckon and hypnotize
pushed and pulled by magnetic, lunar solemnity
stretching beyond limitless horizons
all life struggling to pay its over dues

i rise and fall with the tide
both kissing and slapping the shore
a plethora of darkness in abundance
a drought of days pleading for more
trees swaying amidst exhaled whirlwinds which struggle to speak
truth's last breath ignored as sin gasps to realize
amidst forelorn sobs whilst eternity kneels and cries

Re-Pete
"I will endeavor to separate the tide in my thoughts from the current distractions of the day. I would warn my hearers that they must not try my thoughts by a daylight standard, but endeavor to realize that I speak out of the night. All depends on your point of view." - Thoreau
