My interest in the sun and the moon, in the morning and the evening, compels me to solitude. - Thoreauliving life on an uneven keel longing to feeli pray and kneel shuffle and deal tossing the banana and eating the peel rubbing smooth sandpaper on rough steel drawing power from an electric eel wearing one flip flop and one high heel trying to roll on three round and one square wheel one being silent, the others having an incessant squeal faith seems fiction and survival real hope is for now as tomorrow begins to congeal i reach for the remote dishing out the same old spiel each day, cast in a different role i rock and roll sashay and stroll searching for a soul that someone stole my name written somewhere on a blood-sealed, parchment scroll wondering if it's me, for whom the bells tolls something's 'gotta give soon bald hair strewn and tattered clothes buried in a sand dune i can't find my ticket to the moon quickly, i'm growing old and cold 'for sale' doesn't mean 'sold' faith is brave and bold moon rocks can't be rocked and rolled or so i'm told © 2024 Re-PeteAuthor's Note
