A Poem by Pete
"

Worried Man Silhouette Stock Illustrations

as my chambered heart churns
as my one-room soul burns
earth spins and overturns
hell yearns
an empty pocket earns

i walk through row after row of invisible, lush, green ferns
along with uneven sideburns
too many concerns
as my brain learns
as tomorrow returns
and yesterday spurns

Author's Note

Pete
"It is desirable that a man be clad so simply that he can lay his hands on himself in the dark, and that he live in all respects so compactly and preparedly, that, if an enemy take the town, he can, like the old philosopher, walk out the gate empty-handed without anxiety." - Thoreau
