Devotion Notion

A Poem by Pete
"

Remember that the smallest seed of faith is of more worth than the largest fruit of happiness. - Thoreau

"
Sword From the Stone: Developing ...

in a world of cotton apathy and disloyalty
robes, crowns and stabs in the back seen as relics of faith's fallen royalty
i cling to a sharp allegiance
but steel can be cold
and rusty when it gets old

despite a contract signed in blood that reads, "sold"
i wield a sword that's subtle but bold
knowing that inactive metal can grow mold
because urgent prayers neither wait on hold
nor need to be scrolled and rolled

Author's Note

Pete
"Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark. Faith is a living, daring confidence in God's grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times. Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies." - Thoreau

WOW Pete the song just hit me!!! I love that one and your words are right there....there is a season for love, faint, truth....we must believe in faith...even for small things...confidence is a kind of faith...and one doesn't have to be religious to feel it....faith is strength!
Great! and i played the song three times!!!
Warmly, B
