A Leaf

ammunition of my vibrant colors spent

in a final blaze of glory

surrendering to shorter days

relenting to cooler nights

letting go

drifting softly

spinning gently round and round

silently to the ground

becoming fodder for others

my creator having his druthers

I know that you really appreciate nature and all of its seasons...and this write is perfect for autumn and what is to follow....those vibrant colors seem to awaken our senses, as we watch them fade into brown and drop to the earth....crunch, crunch....when they are all spread ...they ready the ground for blossoms to thrive in the spring....well done Pete!

i think there is much truth in what nietzsche said. fall is a great time to take stock of ourselves. nature always has much to say and teach if we are receptive. it speaks so loudly. thanks for sharing kelly.
