Dancing DōjōjiA Poem by PeteWhat I began by reading, I must finish by acting. - Thoreau'round and 'round the bonzai tree graceful, grafted and determined behind wooden, lacquered masks wigged and robbed with white powdered face coal-lined, telling eyes and blood red lips dressed in hues of the deepest, telling tapestries of emotion fanning flames of feeling fermented and simmered like saki wielding double-edged swords and polychromatic beads miming that which distills inside you sang and danced your joys and laments sacrificing your soul open, telling and free like a scene from the kabuki© 2024 PeteAuthor's Note
