Evil Ways

Evil Ways

A Poem by Pete
"

They will wait, well disposed, for others to remedy evil, that they may no longer have have it to regret. - Thoreau

"
Nun possessed by the devil, the mark of the crucifixion is fixed on her forehead, showing all the power of evil that dwells within her. Generative AI.

legs of gout spread like a wish bone about to snap
spitting out toxic junk from an unrequited womb
littering the world with evil
polluting humanity
contaminating truth and decency
tongue moving back and forth like a gun's firing pin
words like bullets

meanings of a flame thrower
trampling fields of clover
breaking through the clasped hands of red rover
chewing up frozen intentions and tossing them about like a snowblower
grooming derision as a lawnmower
sticking out her finger and demanding that you pull it
building condescension like a model kit
growing only choice, select fruits that befit it

Author's Note

Pete
"There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root, and it may be that he who bestows the largest amount of time and money on the needy is doing the most by his mode of life to produce that misery which he strives in vain to relieve." - Thoreau
