Subterranean Mediterranean

Subterranean Mediterranean

A Poem by Pete
"

Shall I not have intelligence with the earth? Am I not partly leaves and vegetable mold myself. - Thoreau

"
Tour the Underground Railroad in Bucks ...

out of sight, out of mind
we hide the truth underground
trash
sewage
cigarette butts
dead bodies
bad memories
secrets
loose change
evidence
that which didn't taste good after we were done cooking
and who we really are when no one's looking

Pete
"What everybody echoes or in silence passes by as true today may turn out to be falsehood tomorrow, mere smoke of opinion, which some had trusted for a cloud that would sprinkle fertilizing rain on their fields." - Thoreau
