From the right point of view, every storm and every drop in it is a rainbow. - Thoreau

Rain Storm Stock Photos, Images and ...

different shades of grey
onlookers congregating at an accident scene
clouds gather and stir
scraping the sky like callouses on a dry foot
reclaiming once-surrendered territory

amidst spurious upchucks
the gauntlet tossed down
swirling
air is heavy and weighing
muffled rattle of thunder staunchly banging fist and voicing opinion
winkles of undeniable lightning flicking the switch
setting the stage and raising the curtain

insulting the ground
driven yet fearful
mixed hail bouncing like numbers in a lottery drum
droplets weeping downward
descending like a d-day of paratroopers
divinity shouting go, go, go
no apologies
not just on the horizon
here
invading
pelting and smelting
now

"We can never have enough of nature. We must be refreshed by the sight of inexhaustible vigor, vast and titanic features, the sea-coast with its wrecks, the wilderness with its living and its decaying trees, the thunder-cloud, and the rain." - Thoreau
