AfrontA Poem by PeteFrom the right point of view, every storm and every drop in it is a rainbow. - Thoreaudifferent shades of grey onlookers congregating at an accident scene clouds gather and stir scraping the sky like callouses on a dry foot reclaiming once-surrendered territory amidst spurious upchucks the gauntlet tossed down swirling air is heavy and weighing muffled rattle of thunder staunchly banging fist and voicing opinion winkles of undeniable lightning flicking the switch setting the stage and raising the curtain insulting the ground driven yet fearful mixed hail bouncing like numbers in a lottery drum droplets weeping downward descending like a d-day of paratroopers divinity shouting go, go, go no apologies not just on the horizon here invading pelting and smelting now © 2024 PeteAuthor's Note
