Once In A Blue Moon

Once In A Blue Moon

A Poem by Pete
"

I have, as it were, my own sun and moon and stars, and a little world all to myself. - Thoreau

"
Photo of a girl with black and blue hair and black lipstick ...

with cratered eyes, black lipstick and blue hair
she kissed me
the way that a full moon's flashlight shimmers on a polypropylene sea

"I did not wish to take a cabin passage, but rather to go before the mast and on the deck of the world, for there I could best see the moonlight amid the mountains. I do not wish to go below now." - Thoreau

There’s something gothic about this write Pete, she’s certainly enticing but maybe to be wary of like those mermaids that drown sailors once they fall in love. Anyway, great work , has a mythical mysterious feel, love the brevity.

How thrilled am I to be the first to enter here! This about knocked me off my feet. Of course, I love the brevity of it, but there's such an awe to its presentation. Awesome work, Pete!
