A Day At The BeachA Poem by PeteMy life is like a stroll upon the beach. - Thoreaua molten sun shone impish waves washedsurf, sand, shells and foaming seaweed flew folks not quite sure just what to do chatoyant umbrellas wrestled with a starched, stiff-collared, coastal breeze thong bikinis wedged like dental floss but all was not a loss no matter the journey or cost reminding that pearly gates aren't plausible for a leech a convicting tide stood up to preach as a stealth undertow dragged the unsuspecting down into the breach heaven and hell so close and eternity within reach so much to learn and a plethora to teach to each his own and his own to each the bigger the pit the sweeter the peach you can't whiten darkness with bleach just another tricky day at the beach © 2024 PeteAuthor's Note
