Pure, undiluted, untouched joy. - Anne Morrow Lindberghrhododendrons lassoed lavender smiles a forsythia shot absurd, unhinged, yellow fireworks upward and outward not-so-incognito dandelions danced a cancan 'neath yellow berets as they tried to blend inconspicuously with a plush emerald sea a blue spruce clung to deep life despite its nonfatal diagnosis of cyanosis twin, blooming pear trees stood slim and tall like spring's library bookends, blanched candleholders all of this just outside my window in a bold, brazen reminder that not all kindled flame smolders the situation hardly what you'd call dire despite my being caught in all of this bounteous, emblazoned crossfire © 2024 PeteAuthor's Note
