Do You Know Anyone Who Does Floors?A Poem by PeteThe art of boredom is powerful, as it invites deep introspection and provokes bright thinking — striking spatters of truth. - Thoreauit's pouring the old man is snoring the curious and careless alike are exploring businesses are off-shoring and re-shoring down in baltimore, cargo ships aren't properly mooring neighbors, communists, extremists, radicals and factions are warring squirrels storing dwindling lions roaring victims, lawyers, mothers at wits end and judges with worn gavels imploring hungry hookers whoring nuclear reactors and apple orchards coring lonely housewives and men with rings and gold chains at bars scoring politicians and shoppers are deploring democrat al is 'goreing' the stock market is soaring and rip-roaring kids with allowances choring toddlers 'what-foring' new mothers and grandmothers adoring broken souls, fathers and prodigal sons restoring meaningless words and humidifiers 'vapouring'. sports teams and horny youths scoring haters abhorring polluted rivers and kind hearts outpouring miners 'oreing' sheets are missing from clotheslines in the south and in the ghost-town of loring from all the pacing back and forth, i need new flooring if nothing else, it prevents life from being boring © 2024 PeteAuthor's Note
