i quietly hum and sing along with the songs being played over the PA as i wonder, next week, will i even be able to pay telling myself that there'll be better days that way, i don't get too upset when other shoppers bang into me with their carriages cut me off, block the aisle or reach in front of me while i'm trying to see if the ham comes with a glaze and especially when i finally make it all the way down the condiments and dressings aisle only to discover that they're all out of mayonnaise © 2024 PeteAuthor's Note
