To Catch A Thief

To Catch A Thief

A Poem by Pete
"

The fact which the politician faces is merely that there is less honor among thieves than was supposed, and not the fact that they are thieves. - Thoreau

Main | Kari's Line Dancing

begin the beguine
smile a stupid grin
squeeze the sin
risk the chance
break the dance
stare the glance
halt the stop
drib the drop

... and so on ...
until you steal what's gone
if you will, capture a mighty king with a lowly pawn
join the army and try to be all that no one will ever let you be
storm the crashing sea
try to get in without the key
i don't care as long as it's you and not me

"What men call social virtues, good fellowship, is commonly but the virtue of pigs in a litter, which lie close together to keep each other warm." - Thoreau
