Let There Be LightA Poem by PeteEvery sunset which I witness inspires me with the desire to go to a west as distant and as fair as that into which the sun goes down. - Thoreaudusk inconspicuously begins to lower the boom as it draws its weighty curtain everything and everyone altered to alzheimered remnants mere silhouettes of their former, solarized, diurnal selves sorrowful air molecules scurry away in shorter wavelengths with their tails 'tween their microscopic legs only that remaining light able to penetrate the atmosphere steps up to the microphone vocalizing a bipolar reality in passionate, translucent hues through movie-star spectacles what a show what a glow blow-by-blow crouching at a horizon low impressionistic in tow in spite of though butterfly ochres mustard ambers tangerine oranges carmine, gridelin reds violet, lavender, marooned and rippled lagoons cinnamon, indigo, denims eminences of royal, robed, rhetorical purpurates scarlet, crimson, cerise extremist, manifesto shades of staunch, communist pink i wonder what the creator's airbrushed word knows to think careful, you'll miss a divine, concerto, spectacle if you dare to blink © 2024 PeteAuthor's Note
