i sometimes wonder what life would be like if we could hear each other's thoughts out loud

a lot more tables for one i would imagine

and if we could read each other's minds

a whole lot of unfinished novels walking around with an overabundance of coffee stains, tears, footnotes, missing bookmarks, and pages with folded-in corners
