Jack And Jill

Jack And Jill

A Poem by Pete
"

I meet his servant come to draw water for his master, and our buckets as it were grate together in the same well. The pure Walden water is mingled with the sacred water of the Ganges. - Thoreau

The Dark Origins Of The Jack And Jill Nursery Rhyme

jack and jill went up the hill
to fetch their amazon package
jack fell down when he realized that the same address existed in a different town
as jill told him to stop messing around

up jack got when he knew he ought not
as fast as he could caper although he had trouble breathing because he was a vaper
went to bed under a giant bedspread
smiling as he silently thanked his draper

jill came in with another bottle of gin
to try and get him plastered
mother vex'd did whip out a text
to jill for entering the wrong zip code and causing the whole disaster

“The tops of mountains are among the unfinished parts of the globe, whither it is a slight insult to the gods to climb and pry into their secrets, and try their effect on our humanity. Only daring and insolent men, perchance, go there.” - Thoreau
