it's hard to wrestle with demons

demons beyond compare

demons that don't fight fair

demons that swear

demons that cut off your air

demons fully aware

demons that dare and always know where

demons that stare and glare

demons that don't share

demons that don't care or easily scare

demons that don't hear heaven's trumpets blare

demons that steal your last prayer

demons that give up ne'er

demons that have a bigger pair

especially when all you're wearing is your underwear

I wonder how the world would be if more of us learned to persuade our demons rather than wrestle them. If we sat with our demons, to know them better. Although some may insist on a fight, perhaps to humiliate them instead. To create an example to all demons who mistake mercy for weakness. This is a nice poem with nice music to accompany it. Well penned, friend.

interesting suggestion - what therapy is for. many of us want to fight fire with fire usually not realizing that we are outmatched and at a severe disadvantage. thanks for the intelligent share kane ... :)
