He, Him and All That He's In

He, Him and All That He's In

A Poem by Pete
"

Bribed with a little sunlight and a few prismatic tints, we bless our Maker, and stave off his wrath with hymns." - Thoreau

The Pillar Of Fire By Paul Hardy, The Art Bible 1896

pillar of cloud by day and fire at night
that's got to be right
handing me a ticket at the window
backstage
setting things up
shining the lights
standing in the front row
parting the sea through which you and i go
he's everywhere

thunder his percussion
rain his guitar
always near and never far
my soul the microphone
the harmony and the chord
both the psalm and the song
strength when i can't go on
stretching out eternity and making it long

how could i ever possibly go wrong

Pete
"It is not when I am going to meet him, but when I am just turning away and leaving him alone, that I discover what God is. I say, God. I am not sure that that is the name. You will know what I mean." - Thoreau
