4 Awesome Promises in Moses' Burning Bush Encounter - Bible Study

unclear
nuclear
under the nightlight of a sliver of moon
walking a tightrope  'tween a nightmare and a dream
i both dance and scream
as i jump into the fire
liar
liar
soul on fire
situation dire
i'm not here for you to admire

oh this adamantine ground that i walk upon
bring it on
halos, harps, wings, spirits and other divine, sacred, mundane things
you have to pump your legs and hold on tightly when riding the swings
his hymns 'pon my chapped lips, as i spit and sweat
it's not over yet
someday someone in the sky will hear and answer my torrid, fervent prayer
you never said that life has to play fair
patience a virtue as true as breathing foul air
no matter, i kneel in homage to the boss
as i drag a heavy cross
until then i'm
here, there and nowhere

Author's Note

Pete
"How long shall we sit in our porticoes practicing idle and musty virtues, which any work would make impertinent? As if one were to begin the day with long-suffering, and hire a man to hoe his potatoes; and in the afternoon go forth to practise Christian meekness and charity with goodness a forethought!" - Thoreau
