Perplexiglass

A Poem by Pete
"

Maturity is when all of your mirrors turn into windows. - Thoreau

"
Jubilee Mirror | Phillips Scott

i look in the mirror
nothing but glass and chrome staring back at me
to be or not to be
more than a question
a life's sentence to both read and see
a prison with a hidden key
let me know where and when you hear the jubilee
you won't have to come looking for me
'cuz there i'll be

Pete
"Of what significance the light of day, if it is not the reflection of an inward dawn?--to what purpose is the veil of night withdrawn, if the morning reveals nothing to the soul? It is merely garish and glaring." - Thoreau
