Back To School

A Poem by Pete
"

Education makes a straight ditch of a free meandering brook. - Thoreau

"
Indiana back to school education survey

liberating
setting soul free
it was heavy in the room and about to get heavier
blue and soon to be bluer
both old and newer
with nothing to prove
the needle found the groove

it was hard to keep still
'cuz feet and bodies were dying to move
cooler than cool
it was great going back to school
they lit it up
filling a begger's empty, tin cup
yes sir
yup

I agree Pete. I enjoyed my days of going to school. Learning was a pleasure. Now I read and write. Keep the mind alive and well. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
