Tumbleweed ("Keep The Change")

Tumbleweed ("Keep The Change")

A Poem by Pete
"

Nay, be a Columbus to whole new continents and worlds within you, opening new channels, not of trade, but of thought. - Thoreau

"
Tussling With an Urban Tumbleweed Invasion

no reason to confess, no need to concede
rockin' out to a different creed
knowing that faith doesn't bleed
we had all that we could ever need
in our plaid coats of tweed
as the wind blew the memory of yesterday away in an arid, brittle tumbleweed

actions and truth long since estranged, possibly deranged
in a fair and precious but misunderstood exchange
people thought it strange
as we went riding unbridled out on the range
our spirits groovin' and horses clip clopping to the music of la grange
reminding today to, "keep the change"

Author's Note

Pete
“We need the tonic of wildness...At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.” - Thoreau

You speak of the "wild west" of wherever you live; to be free from almost everything, including faith, memories, things of the past,; we don't need much to explore and be wild; it comes very naturally; nature waits for us whenever we want a part of it......
very interesting
