Fifth Dimension

Fifth Dimension

A Poem by Pete

None are so old as those who have outlived enthusiasm. - Thoreau

scaling a seemingly unscalable fence
river flows with an eternal, tributary's cadence

tears and time take their chance
as a fifth dimension spin's a well choreographed dance

life can play rough
don't stop 'til you get enough

Author's Note

Pete
“Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in. I drink at it; but while I drink I see the sandy bottom and detect how shallow it is. Its thin current slides away, but eternity remains. I would drink deeper; fish in the sky, whose bottom is pebbly with stars.” - Thoreau

you have very interesting thoughts, i just looked into your writings, I was also thinking of 5th dimension, was it scientifically which i can prove the there are four directions, but the fifth comes when it is time in a space, which is unsteady state.... in vedas, they say east west north south, top bottom, but when you see in earth moving the top part is north, down is south where rivers flow down, then where does this top and bottom come into picture. thats if i had to believe vedas, there are two more along with ashtadhik palaks. It means like a spatial index if take out sample from set, the whole set has one top and bottom which vedas are referring, and a sample set has north and south as its top and bottom. so when it comes there are 10 directions in universe.

Your poem was truly inspiring and deeply moving. The way you explored the idea of resilience and the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity was so powerful and relatable. I loved the way you used vivid imagery to bring the character's struggles to life, and the way you wove together themes of time, emotion, and the natural rhythm of life. The line "life can play rough, don't stop 'til you get enough" was particularly poignant and inspiring, and I think it's a powerful call to action for anyone who is facing difficult challenges in their life. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful words with the world!
