There is no remedy for love but to love more. - Thoreau

from different sides of the tracks
your poem whispered of rainbows, butterflies and trees
mine screamed of storms, weeds and skinned knees
your poem said thank you
mine said please
yours made bold declarations
mine meaningless decrees

somehow when our lips met
'twas instant kizmet
keys and honeybees jingled and danced with ease
eyes without faces getting down upon their knees
grinning for white wedding pictures
joined together by fate's who'd-have-thought breeze
as a couplet with big smiles together rhymed

"cheese"
