RelativityA Poem by PeteI have no time to be in a hurry. - Thoreaulost in a palette of swooshes, a starry night wonders why vincent's van won't gogh time wants to stop but is ordered in a forced march below as camel cigarettes roll themselves uphill smokestacks cough up the phlegm of progress credit cards dance a plastic limbo as they overthrow a cash is king reluctantly told yesterday whispers spent secrets to today hoping that tomorrow will be okay out of luck, lost pennies pass the buck reason is searching for lost change in the cushions of the past along with a way out angels open and shut heaven's gate after all, they're the only ones with any clout one to the gazillionth power still equals one after awhile is never done prisons of our own making aren't any fun tell it to your remote control rather than the judge because the future won't budge alluring, dolled-up flat screens offering a permanent wave lightyears refuel at golden arches of mcdonald's drive thru on their way to eternity never, forever and always are there sometimes is tired of being ignored whenever impaired occasionally scared since easily declared days lined up as far as the eye can see to have their grievances aired at best the fourth dimension limps being impaired fate and destiny spared einstein looks in the mirror and combs what's left of crazy, thinning hair wishing that E=mc2 cared © 2023 PeteAuthor's Note
