leaving supper early after the dipping of the bread
slipping away into the mist of night
in a bold, stark revelation
you planted a kiss of betrayal 'pon human lips
but you will never live to see its harvest
you see, it wasn't really me that you kissed
you missed
'twas merely flesh but not spirit
a replica

thunder
lightning
whirlwind
clouds
after all

someone has to bless the rains

down in africa
