Handcuffs hanging on jail cell door - Ju... | Stock Video | Pond5

arrested by shame
sirens of fear wail
convicted by a jury of surprise
as a gavel of guilt smacks down
handcuffs of disgust tighten
leg irons of sadness subdue

confined to a cell of boredom
steel bars of anger locking
fenced in by razor wire of loneliness
helplessness offering no reprieve
looking for a lawyer of love
waiting impatiently for the pardon of joy
only to be disappointed as i'm held in contempt
