Shangri-La-Ha

Shangri-La-Ha

A Poem by Pete
"

There is only one path to Heaven. On Earth, we call it Love. - Thoreau

Single Red Rose Meaning, Symbolism, and Fun Facts - Flower Delivery Hamilton Ontario

steeped in an intricate tapestry of interminable, candled devotion
an old prayer, hardly a new notion
innocent but strong
stems trimmed but still long
whisper smooth as silken sheets
thread count of eternity
haloed, red roses of gossamer
encompassed in an alabaster vase
a high watchtower

surrounded by drooling baby's breath
whispering sweet nothings
beckoning to come hither
amidst divine reverberations of organ music
plucked strings of a harp
a copious coterie of angels of devotion dancing joyously in distinct perpetuity
asserting inherent religiosity beneath a throne of grace
a heaven of plenty

with an acrimonious knell, satan turns and departs

seething, dejected and empty

I really enjoyed this bit of whimsy. I liked as well the implied criticisms put over very well.
