Blank Canvas

Nude Woman Posing Sitting - Canvas Art Print | Alessandro Della Torre
Art by Allessandro Dela Torre

as we held hands
i noticed it didn't feel the same as it once did
as we hugged
the warm map had turned into a cold grid

feelings kicked a can down the road much as a juvenile delinquent called to the office lingers
time had twisted our fingers
pushing them further apart
pulling the plug on emotions once alive and well in my heart
our spent love no longer able to approach the easel let alone paint the art

A sad tale of love running out of steam. Really enjoyed the metaphors you used here Pete. Nice little poem. Have a lovely day.

Your posted artwork is fascinating.
