Eternity Ain't Just A Perfume

Eternity Ain't Just A Perfume

A Poem by Pete
"

I make my own time. I make my own terms. I cannot see how God or Nature can ever get the start of me. - Thoreau

Chronos - Wikipedia

i often get stuck wondering who made time
i'm pretty sure it wasn't calvin klein
who made flowers fragrant
who crafted the dragonfly to be a fire-breathing vagrant
who taught the ocean to stutter and what to say
who hugs the hills to stand for yet another solitary day
who birthed the buffalo to roam
who turns the words of the ages into a poem

who pulls a bow across love's endless strings
who sews the night's silence whilst the light of day sings
who is the undeniable essence of all things
who whispers the dawn
making it go on and on and on
who taught the sunflower to droop
who designed a while to fly and swoop
whose spaceless breath exhales eternity as an infinite loop
