Eternity SurrenderedA Poem by PeteAs if you could kill time without injuring eternity.- Thoreaunails crosses thorny crowns angels and demons tucked neatly away for another dayinwardly unavowed in bastions of clandestine proclivity thick walls guarded by stoic, staring sentries unrollable boulders unearthed surreptitiously blue skies and mud floors smiles, tears and locked doors candles, vigils and tears lonely years worn prayers and naysayers a crying onion's peeled layers rarely spoken time awoken hearts remembered but broken forgiveness the missing token these things we thought we knew these things we miss whispering forever in the lips of a desiccated kiss conjoined souls distempered narcissistic twins self centered teetering on the edge of reason holding onto a beheaded, sacrificial season hemmed in the indecisive, frayed, dragged, cuffs of pompous past and surrendered future where it's midnight forever burial grounds revisited lost love remembered eternity surrendered © 2023 PeteAuthor's Note
