The quote by Marilyn made me think of an even more sexy lady, in my opinion, that just passed away, Raquel Welch who died just yesterday. I like your poem but it's funny, I thought of vanilla ice cream instead of the white rapper while reading it. I've never liked rap music. Just not a fan of the genre. The opening theme for Ice Ice Baby sounds exactly like the opening for Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie which was released nine years earlier. So much for originality. I like my music with a bluesy edge. I like BB King, Clapton, Tab Benoit...about any blues artist or band. And I like country, jazz, some pop, classic rock, bluegrass and some classical. But I'm like Bruce Willis in The Last Boy Scout when it comes to rap, The bad guy tells Bruce he wants to hear him scream and Bruce's character says, "Play some rap music."

thanks ff. i didn't know about raquel. true, a lot of rappers "borrow" from rock and blues. i love bb and clapton. it was just announced that bruce willis has dimentia ... :)

lol. thanks kell. you're slaying me. i actually like it too - it makes me want to dance and groove (although lord knows no one would ever want to see me doing that). for some reason i was listening to the song and watching the video today - sometimes it's fun to remember and music has a way of jogging our memories back to a different time in our lives as you say. yet another cool thing about music ... :)
