Keeping Score

Keeping Score

A Poem by Pete
"

There is no tyrant as merciless as pain. In bowling and in life, if a person made the spares, the strikes would take care of themselves. - Stephen King

"
HS Bowling: Bergen Tech Girls Sweep Holy Angels | Hasbrouck Heights/Wood-Ridge/Teterboro, NJ News TAPinto

in funny shoes that look like they came out of a drawer
when a storm's curtain rises and serenity is no more
when gutters claim the rain like an open and shut alley door
when soulful pins are knocked down upon a freshly waxed floor
when thunder claps and angels bowl
i wonder if god keeps score

Not sure but wondering, you don't have a lightening strike to spare by any chance, do you? : )
Very clever and creative. I like how this one stays in its lane.
