When It's Better To Hear Than SeeA Poem by PeteWhen I hear music, I fear no danger. I am invulnerable. - Thoreauscaling higher and higher in a melodic sand dune crank up the tuneall the way to the moon
as loud as possible than crank it up some more until it blows out the windows and opens everyone's door cleaning out my attic of all the junk making room for strutting, gyrating rhythm and funk bass so low you think it's thundering under a london fog as the pace morphs into a remembering sprint from a forgetful jog i want to feel the percussion beating me down shaking the very ground from head to toes after all, drumming always foretells and knows cymbals crashing in my soul as angels commence to bowl aplomb in the atomic psalm of a cantabile bomb keyboards pressing all the right keys never needing to say thank you or please guitars wailing life's joy and sorrow so that today has no choice but to hold hands with tomorrow in a bipolar mania of feelings and emotions piking and strumming up and down so fast i want nothing more than for it to simply last ushering in the future and seating the past god himself in the very lyrics of the front row i don't just think this, i know losing all control picking up the scattered, spilled pieces and making me whole raising me up and removing a deaf silence's shroud drawing folks to a miracle from miles around in an eternal, rocking crowd all heaven giving a standing ovation the devil rising to his burning, slithering feet as he relinquishes causation i might not know much may even be a bit too proud but i do know that it's better loud it's gotta be for all those times when it's better to hear than see © 2023 PeteAuthor's Note
