that line planted the image in my mind far more than the lemon tea and tiny trimmed cucumber sandwiches. So tiny, one bite and they are gone. Something so delicate being enjoyed probably at 4.30pm on the dot in an English country garden.

Eat your crusts my nan used to say. They make your hair curl. Well I have got curly hair but that might be to do with genes rather than crusts:) Only posh people trim the crusts :)
