There is considerable danger that a man will be crazy between dinner and supper; but it will not directly answer any good purpose that I know of, and it is just as easy to be sane. - Thoreau
i want to bare my soul, open my mind and let you in
"If one listens to the faintest but constant suggestions of his genius, which are certainly true, he sees not to what extremes, or even insanity, it may lead him; and yet that way, as he grows more resolute and faithful, his road lies." - Thoreau

Love how many ideas, philosophy and the Socratic Method continue refuting and through this you get closer to the truth, how every mind has its own world to everything in and out the realms of the inner walls we keep so dearly to ourselves. keep writing very thought provoking and enjoyable read. sincerely your friend in writing and life.

I love the philosophical aspect to this piece. Beautifully written to open ones mind and bare the truths they hide. Wonderfully done and a joy to read!

Oh my. I find it really difficult to open up. If anyone managed to get inside my tangled mind, they would be in danger of not getting out :) All those corridors leading to nowhere. However, if anyone wants to try, they should be suitably dressed first. Armour may help protect them. Thought provoking Pete. Enjoyed the read.

Ah, wonderfully put. For my mind, a 007 suit is most likely required, but it'll be fun though lol. This poem really makes one think deeper about things some perhaps many have been concerned about the mere possibility of before. Wonderfully explained and expressed! tyfs

The ironic part is you've brought us into your mind by publishing your words. Luckily I am not bare, I have the cloak of madness and despair. Nice write.

lol. thanks t.s. who knows, with the way things are going, fig leaves might make a comeback ... :)
I have lived in a small cottage where I could have a garden
with vegetables, berries, grapes and a few fruit trees....
so I know what it is like to be humble and resourceful...
helping neighbors when in need. Many years ago, I wanted to advise
the Government to take government-owned land and place a certain amount
of homeless people there in the early Spring with a builder to teach them how to
build their home and an agriculture expert on how to grow food... and on and on.
It would use our Tax money; however would that not have been better than where we are now.
With the above plan, the homeless could have studied to be Bankers and Lawyers and Doctors...
if you can envision how they could eventually be self efficient (with electricians and plumbers...
a name for their town, and a Mayor. This would have been repeated in different locations in our
Country. However, we are where we are; and we will find a Solution. truly, Pat

But no one couldn't imagine what I have been through.
Since I have memory, all that I remember is violence.
There is a little case, summer holiday I went live with my dad, but becoz his wife doesn't like me to share ,so she incite him in words, after my dad come home like no reason he nearly hit me blind..... Etc...
But today what I'm face of even painful, life brings my twin flame together in a such weird ways.
Becoz his innocence he even thought I'm his stain but not his love...
But I still trust...

This poem is notable becuz you say so much in so few words. I totally relate to your sentiments & believe that most people find it way too scary to open up to another. It's so treacherous & it makes us feel so naked. Sometimes I try to dally in the superficial, trying to relate to people who do not delve, but eventually I can't continue. I love the part where it feels unfair to subject anyone to the deep dangerous crevasses of my mind (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

All human minds are treacherous and unfair. It's what the theologians call "the fall of man." Furthermore, it is always unwise to venture naked into a free fire zone. Makes you a target automatically. Camouflage is highly advised.
